The New York Film Academy South Beach, Florida is grateful for the U.S. servicemen and women who serve to protect their country and safeguard the freedom of its citizens. To show support for veterans, the Academy has established various programs, military-friendly policies, and a dedicated Office of Veterans Services at its South Beach campus, as has its New York City and Los Angeles campuses.

The Academy is recognized as an award-winning Top Military Friendly School and remains committed to helping veterans achieve their educational and career goals. As an accredited and certified Military Friendly School, the New York Film Academy South Beach offers hands-on and intensive programs in multiple visual and performing arts disciplines that include Filmmaking and Acting for Film.

Offering BFA and MFA degree programs, the Academy’s curriculum is designed for students to achieve a wide range of educational goals.

In addition to the immersive programs offered at the Academy’s South Beach campus, students can also study additional programs at either our New York City or Los Angeles campuses, including the following areas of study.

In addition to the degree programs offered at the New York Film Academy South Beach, the Los Angeles campus provides numerous degree programs, including MFA, MA, BFA, BA, and AFA programs.

Benefits, Support, and Facilities for Veterans

Alongside its dedicated Office of Veterans Services, the New York Film Academy South Beach, Florida is committed to supporting its student veterans as follows:

  • The Academy takes part in the Yellow Ribbon program and provides a Tuition Discount program for qualifying students.
  • The Academy’s faculty of professional filmmakers, actors, and other creative professionals are trained to best support student veterans.
  • NYFA is partnered with other highly respected veteran organizations to best support students transitioning into a career.

GI Bill® Funding and Veterans Discount

The Office of Veterans Services at NYFA South Beach is committed to aiding and providing veterans with all the information they need regarding the many NYFA programs approved for GI Bill Benefits, including the Post-9/11 GI Bill. Along with the Academy’s New York City and Los Angeles campuses, the South Beach campus is approved to train veterans and eligible individuals under the provisions of the GI Bill.

In addition, individuals who are not completely funded by the Post-9/11 GI Bill will receive a 15% discount on tuition. Furthermore, dependents of military servicemembers interested in enrolling in one of the Academy’s teen and tween camps will get a 10% discount on their tuition.
